Here's a annual classic supported Colorado mountain ride. I thought it was pretty tough until I looked at Rob's Climb to Kaiser ride! Nevertheless, this one's plenty for this old retiree ;)

I was there and finished it. The climbs are really long compared to what I'm used to, and the air is really thin compared to where I usually ride, but the grades are mostly 4-5% and that is what makes it possible....just barely for me!

The best feature of the ride, I think, is the awesome scale of the lanscape that you ride through. I was constantly amazed at the size of the peaks on either side and astonished at the climb to Loveland pass and the ensuing descent.

This ride is logistically complex since it is point-to-point, but is definitely worth the effort. July 12, 2008, and register early, it fills up.
