When I view a post with replies, the original post is at the end of the thread and the most recent reply is at the top.

How can I change the display order so that the OP is first and replies are displayed in the order they were posted?

Same thing happened to me a few weeks back out of clear blue... went in to see if there were some settings that got changed around and couldn't find any... So I'm in the same boat.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

On the main forum page, click one of the forum area icons (such as "Forum Issues", "General Discussion", etc). A series of buttons will appear beneath the list of topics, starting with the label:

"Showing n of n topics sorted by "

The 2nd button allows you to choose "ascending" or "descending".

I tried that but it only seems to affect the sorting of topics on the forum page, not the posts with in a topic.

For example - in this topic, my original post is at the bottom and labeled as post #4 and your response is at the top and labeled as post #1 (until I hit "Ad Reply" for this comment).

To me, this make it hard to read a thread - especially long ones.

KSO / Erlingo - are you referring to the forum page or the topic/reply page?

Guess you're right... when I did what rob said, initially, I thought that fixed it but when you go to the actual thread the newest is still first.

Right, works in topics but doesn't - alas - work in posts

FYI - I found this info on the ikon wiki:

Topic Options

One of the options is to chose the order of posts within the topic.

In my opinion, ascending order (oldes post first) is easeier to read.

Just my 2 cents...

+1

Especially if the posts span multiple pages.

I hate to nag but could you look at this "Posts Reversed" issue again?

I've been away from the forums for a bit and had a hard time reading through the 1.8 Beta/Release info with the current configuration.

The updates, bug-fixes, and customer support for Ascent are top-notch so this is the only thing I can find to complain about :;):

Bump.

This makes it really difficult to follow threads.

Thanks, Rob! phpBB is an excellent choice. I have set it up myself for my running team. Works great.
