Why has all my data disappeared from my activity document?

All the panes within the browser window can be resized by dragging them. The position of each pane is stored in the Ascent preferences file. If the divider separating the main browser window from the map and activity detail area is dragged too far to the left, or the preferences get corrupted, the browser and splits views may totally disappear. This makes it impossible to select any activity until the divider is dragged again to the right.

To fix this, simply drag the vertical divider from its position on the left to the right, and the browser and splits view should re-appear.
The vertical divider has a small dot about halfway down its length.
