Forerunner 220

Sorry if this has been asked before, but my forerunner 205 died on me and I splashed out on a 220 - but this doesn't seem to sync with Ascent. Anyone know why or if it just doesn't? Thanks.

I'm not sure why it's not automatically synching, but you can manually upload the fit file. Go to File>Import>Garmin Fitness File (.fit) and navigate to your activity at GARMIN>Garmin>Activities, where GARMIN is your 220 connected via the USB cable. I do this with my 620, which is similar to the 220, and my other devices.

Have you tried using the File>Garmin Sync Widget rather than the normal File>Sync GPS?

I have a similar problem with my Garmin Montana.
It won't sync, and the sync widget doesn't do it either.

I connect to my computer, open the Garmin folder in the Montana, and then drag and drop the GPX track file into an open Ascent browser window.

Hope that idea helps!

Regards,
Mick.

Brilliant, thanks. Managed to open it with the file command and I'm up and, er, running.
